Clean Water for T'Boli Fundraiser
South Cotabato, Philippines
Thanks to Waves For Water and an unstoppable crew of local leaders who live outside this mountain tribe, our family dove in—filters, fundraising, and Filipino food included.
We’ve hosted awareness events steeped in culture (Adobo chicken optional, impact guaranteed), raised $10,000, and teamed up with agencies to deliver filters to 25 mountain sitio averaging 90 households each. That means riding pillion behind a dirt bike driver, balancing buckets and filters on planks no wider than a chopstick and yes, sometimes questioning our life choices mid-swerve.
Due to persistent drought, spring water has become scarce, and clean water is now a privilege, not a given. These filters aren’t just gadgets—they’re lifelines, helping reduce waterborne illnesses that come from unsafe sources.
Training days feel like pop-up festivals with a purpose: guiding hands-on filter demos while feeding entire communities. We’re a third of the way toward our $30K goal, and additional funds are still needed to cover transportation, training meals, and other logistics.
Status: Plank by plank, filter by filter, sityo (community) by sityo, we’re committed to reach the whole tribe. To donate:
